POCO X6 Pro Users Face Battery & Heating Problems After HyperOS 2.0 Update in India

POCO X6 Pro users in India were excited about the new HyperOS 2.0 update, which recently started rolling out to beta testers. The update, with firmware version 2.0.2.0.VNLINXM, is 5.5 GB in size and even brings the December 2024 Android security patch. It’s the first major Android update for the POCO X6 Pro, and many users were looking forward to the new features and improvements.

However, things didn’t go as planned. After installing the update, many beta testers have reported some serious issues, especially with the battery life. Users are saying that their phone’s battery is draining much faster than before. Some people even mentioned that they have to charge their phones 6–7 times a day, which is very frustrating.
Another problem users are facing is heating issues. The phone gets hot while using it, which makes it uncomfortable to hold or use for long periods. Apart from these, some apps are not working smoothly, and there’s lag while scrolling, which is not something you’d expect after a major update.

The HyperOS 2.0 update was supposed to improve the phone’s performance and security, but these issues show that it still needs a lot of optimization. While it’s common for new updates to have some bugs, the battery drain and heating problems are major concerns that Xiaomi needs to fix quickly.
Currently, this update is only available to beta testers. It is expected to roll out to all POCO X6 Pro users in the next 1–2 weeks. If you haven’t received the update yet, it might be a good idea to wait until Xiaomi releases a patch to fix these issues.
If you are already part of the beta program and facing these problems, you can try these tips to save your battery:
- Lower your screen brightness.
- Turn off background apps you don’t use.
- Switch off Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or GPS when not needed.
- Use battery saver mode.
For now, if you’re a POCO X6 Pro user, keep an eye on the Updater app for any future fixes or updates. Let’s hope Xiaomi addresses these problems quickly so everyone can enjoy the new features without worrying about their phone’s battery running out.
