Camera Dynamic Watermark Beta Now Live on Xiaomi Phones

Xiaomi is expanding its camera innovation efforts with a fresh Camera Dynamic Watermark beta program for HyperOS China. The new testing phase introduces creative, animated watermark effects alongside practical camera refinements aimed at everyday shooting. To fine-tune performance before a wider rollout, Xiaomi is onboarding 10,000 testers per eligible device in China to gather real-world usage insights.

Supported Models (Beta Recruitment)

Xiaomi has opened beta recruitment for a select group of flagship smartphones. The REDMI K80 Ultra is the first device to receive access, while additional models will be onboarded in the next phase.

New Features and Camera Enhancements

This update introduces several meaningful improvements aimed at improving daily camera usability. The standout addition is Dynamic Moving Watermarks, which apply animated branding effects to motion photos for a more modern and premium look. Xiaomi has also added flash support during video recording, significantly improving low-light video capture.

Alongside these headline features, the update brings multiple optimizations:

• Pro Mode UI Refinement: Manual parameter templates have been repositioned for quicker access to frequently used settings.
• Spirit Level Accuracy: Improved sensitivity and faster response in the built-in leveling tool for more precise framing.
• Motion Photo Branding: Greater flexibility and customization options for live photo watermark effects.

Rollout Timeline

The Camera Dynamic Watermark beta registration period will close on December 31, 2025. Selected participants will begin receiving the update starting January 7, 2026, delivered gradually via a standard OTA system update.
