Xiaomi is gearing up for the launch of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro in India, scheduled for January 6, 2026, alongside the Redmi Note 15 5G smartphone. Ahead of the official debut, the Indian pricing and first sale details of the upcoming tablet have surfaced online.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro – Expected Prices in India
According to tipster, the Wi-Fi–only variant of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro is expected to be priced at ₹25,000 for the 6GB RAM + 128GB storage configuration. Meanwhile, the 5G variant is said to arrive in two higher storage options: 8GB + 128GB, tipped to cost ₹28,000, and 8GB + 256GB, which could be priced at ₹30,000. Previously, Xiaomi had teased the tablet as the fastest Redmi Pad in the ₹20,000–₹30,000 price segment.
The tipster further suggests that the first sale of the Redmi Pad 2 Pro in India may take place on January 12, 2026, just days after its official launch.
Interestingly, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro 5G was first launched globally in September 2025, alongside a Wi-Fi–only variant and a special Matte Glass edition. According to the latest tipster information, the Wi-Fi–only model is also expected to launch in India, possibly alongside the 5G variant on January 6, 2026, with pricing details already tipped for both versions.
Redmi Pad 2 Pro – Confirmed Features
In terms of specifications, the Redmi Pad 2 Pro is confirmed to be powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 7s Gen 4 processor. It will feature a 12.1-inch display with QHD+ resolution, 120Hz refresh rate, and Dolby Vision support. The tablet features a large 12,000mAh battery and is equipped with a quad-speaker setup that supports Dolby Atmos, delivering up to 300% louder audio.
Design-wise, the device sports a metal unibody build, measures just 7.5mm in thickness, and weighs around 610 grams. Additionally, Geekbench listings indicate that the Redmi Pad 2 Pro will run Android 15 out of the box.
