Recently, the Xiaomi 17 Ultra was spotted on the IMDA certification database, confirming the device’s global availability. Now, the flagship has also appeared on BIS certification, further indicating that the Xiaomi 17 Ultra is preparing for an official launch in India in the coming weeks.
The certification entry now lists the model number 2512BPNDAI, with the “I” suffix confirming an India-specific variant. This development points toward Xiaomi’s plans to introduce the Xiaomi 17 Ultra in the Indian market, reinforcing earlier signs of a wider global rollout. Devices appearing in BIS certification usually indicate that an India launch is imminent, suggesting an official announcement may not be far away.
Apart from the model number, the BIS listing doesn’t reveal any specific specifications for the Xiaomi 17 Ultra. However, the device has already been officially launched in China, so its key features and specifications are already known.

The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a large 6.9-inch LTPO AMOLED display with 1.5K–2K resolution, delivering sharp visuals and vibrant colors. It supports a 120Hz adaptive refresh rate, along with HDR10+ and Dolby Vision, and offers very high peak brightness for excellent outdoor visibility. Protection is handled by Dragon Crystal Glass 3.0.
At its core, the device is powered by the Qualcomm Snapdragon 8 Elite Gen 5 chipset, paired with up to 16GB LPDDR5X RAM and 1TB UFS 4.1 storage. It runs Android 16 with HyperOS 3.0, ensuring fast performance and long-term software support.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra sports a Leica-tuned triple rear camera setup, including a 50MP 1-inch primary sensor with OIS, a 200MP periscope telephoto lens with continuous optical zoom, and a 50MP ultra-wide camera with macro support. On the front, it houses a 50MP selfie camera capable of 4K video recording. Advanced features like AI HDR processing and Fireworks Mode enhance photography, while select variants include a physical zoom ring for manual camera control.
The phone packs a massive 6,800mAh battery, one of the largest in Xiaomi’s Ultra lineup. It supports 90W wired fast charging, 50W wireless charging, and reverse wireless charging.
Connectivity options include 5G, Wi-Fi 7, and Bluetooth 6.0. Additional highlights include a 3D ultrasonic in-display fingerprint sensor, stereo speakers with Dolby Atmos, and IP66/IP68/IP69-rated dust and water resistance.
The Xiaomi 17 Ultra features a flat AMOLED design with a slim 8.29mm profile, weighing around 223–224 grams. It is expected to be available in multiple color options, including Black, White, Starry Green, and Purple.
