Xiaomi rolled out several HyperOS 3 updates based on Android 16 last week across multiple devices. Most of these updates were released under beta and Mi Pilot programs, allowing early testers to explore the new features and report bugs before the stable rollout.
As expected with any major system upgrade, beta testers reported several issues across different devices and usage scenarios. Xiaomi has now officially acknowledged multiple critical bugs and confirmed their fix status. Some issues have already been resolved through new builds or app updates, while others are still under active development.

Issue 01: Alarm Freeze After Ringing
One of the most serious bugs reported was related to alarms causing the device to freeze immediately after ringing. This issue affected multiple Xiaomi and POCO smartphones running HyperOS 3 beta builds, although tablets were not impacted.

Tablet users also reported a system-level bug where the screen recording shortcut disappeared completely after updating.

Temporary Workaround:
Users can restore screen recording access by following this path:
Settings > App Settings > Screen Recorder > Other Permissions > Enable “Display floating windows”

Issue 04: Game Frame Drops on POCO F7 Pro
Performance-focused users reported serious frame drops during gaming sessions on the POCO F7 Pro after the latest beta update.
