Xiaomi Publishes Weekly HyperOS 3 Bug Report: Issues Identified and Fixes Underway

Xiaomi releases a Weekly Bug Report every Sunday, highlighting known issues found in recently rolled-out HyperOS 3 updates across Xiaomi, Redmi, and POCO devices. This helps users understand current problems, track fixes, and know which updates to install or avoid until patches arrive.

The latest report includes several important issues affecting models like the POCO F7, POCO F7 Pro, and Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G. Here are the official findings and the current status of each problem.

Device Restart When Connecting to the Internet – POCO F7

The POCO F7 running OS3.0.3.0.WOLMIXM was affected by a critical issue where the device restarted automatically when connecting to Wi-Fi or mobile data. Users also reported the keyboard appearing unexpectedly.

Xiaomi has confirmed that the issue is fixed, and it is strongly recommended to update to OS3.0.4.0.WOLMIXM, which resolves the problem and improves stability. This new build is currently rolling out globally in batches.

Random Pop-Up Ads Caused by Malicious App – Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G

The Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G with firmware OS3.0.2.0.WOPMIXM has been experiencing random pop-up ads. Xiaomi identified the cause as a malicious app named tf.tap.fame. The issue is marked as known, and the company is working on a permanent fix.

Users are advised to check their installed apps and remove any suspicious ones to prevent further ad intrusions.

Incorrect Font Display and Missing Characters – Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G

Another issue affecting the same device, Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G (OS3.0.2.0.WOPMIXM), involves incorrect font display. Two apps, com.anglow.mepapers and tf.tap.fame, are suspected of causing abnormal behavior in the system font.

Xiaomi recommends temporarily removing both apps to prevent incorrect font rendering. Additionally, the lack of Kurdish characters in the MiSans Global font for this model has now been officially fixed.

Frame Drops in Games – POCO F7 Pro

The POCO F7 Pro, running OS3.0.4.0.WOKMIXM, is currently affected by frame drops in games and inconsistent performance. Xiaomi traced the issue to incorrect frame-rate configuration inside the system.

The company has implemented a temporary cloud-control fix to stabilize frame rates, but a full patch will arrive in the next OTA update for the device.

Xiaomi’s latest HyperOS 3 bug report highlights several important issues across recently updated devices, but the company has already fixed some of them and is actively working on the remaining ones. Users of affected models are encouraged to:

  • Update to the latest available HyperOS 3 builds
  • Remove suspicious apps if pop-up ads or font issues occur
  • Wait for the next OTA update if temporary fixes are already applied

More updates and bug resolutions are expected in next week’s report as Xiaomi continues to refine HyperOS 3 across its ecosystem.
