Xiaomi is accelerating the rollout of its next major operating system upgrade, HyperOS 3, based on Android 16. According to the latest internal schedule, 25 Xiaomi, Redmi, and wearable devices are confirmed to receive the HyperOS 3 update in December 2025 in China. Once the domestic rollout stabilizes, these models are expected to receive their global versions shortly after.
The rollout has officially kicked off with the Redmi Note 15 Pro+, which has already received its first beta build — OS3.0.2.0.WPRCNXM — in China. More models will follow through the month in a staged, device-by-device release.
HyperOS 3 Rollout Begins in China
China is always the first region to receive Xiaomi’s major software upgrades, and HyperOS 3 continues this pattern. Early releases are used to refine performance, test system stability, and gather feedback before pushing updates globally.
HyperOS 3 brings major UI improvements, smoother animations, redesigned system visuals, stronger security, and advanced AI-driven features. The update is expected to significantly enhance user experience across flagship, mid-range, and entry-level devices.
With internal testing already live on select models, Xiaomi is preparing to push multiple builds rapidly before the end of December — making this one of the largest software rollout waves of the year.

Global Rollout Will Begin After China Stabilization
Once Xiaomi finishes internal testing and early rollout in China, the next phase will be the Global, India, and Europe updates, expected to begin shortly after the December wave. Global versions typically take extra time due to:
- Regional certification requirements
- Additional carrier testing
- Localization and language packages
- Stability testing based on Chinese release feedback
Devices like the Xiaomi 13 Series, Redmi Note 13/14 Series, and Redmi K60 Series are among the strongest candidates for early global deployment once HyperOS 3 stabilizes.
Users outside China should begin seeing staged rollouts in late December or early 2026 depending on region.
With 25 Xiaomi models scheduled for HyperOS 3 in December and the Redmi Note 15 Pro+ already receiving its beta update, Xiaomi is preparing one of its biggest software upgrade waves to date. The new features, smoother animations, upgraded visual design, and improved ecosystem integration will significantly enhance the user experience across all supported devices.
Global users can expect the rollout to follow soon after China’s testing phase is complete.
