Xiaomi Addresses Auto Shutdown & Battery Percentage Bug in HyperOS 3

Xiaomi continues to actively resolve major bugs reported by users in its latest HyperOS 3 updates. This week, the company has acknowledged and started addressing an issue related to unexpected device shutdowns at low battery levels, caused by a battery percentage mismatch.

Issue details

Some users reported that their devices shut down automatically even when the battery indicator showed remaining charge. This behavior was linked to incorrect battery percentage calibration in certain HyperOS 3 builds.

Affected devices

The issue has been confirmed on the following smartphones:

Affected HyperOS versions

  • OS3.0.4.0.WOGMIXM (Global)
  • OS3.0.3.0.WOFMIXM (Global)

Current status

Xiaomi has already released a test version to a small group of users to address this problem. According to initial feedback:

  • Some users have confirmed that the issue is fixed
  • Others are still experiencing unexpected shutdowns

As a temporary workaround, Xiaomi has advised affected users to perform a full discharge–recharge cycle to recalibrate the battery. The company is currently collecting feedback from testers before rolling out a wider fix.

What’s next

Xiaomi is closely monitoring user reports and feedback. Further optimizations are expected in upcoming HyperOS 3 updates once the fix is fully validated.

Users facing this issue are advised to keep their devices updated and follow official recommendations until a stable update is released.
