Xiaomi has started rolling out the third beta update of the System Launcher based on the upcoming HyperOS 3.1 version in China. The new beta focuses mainly on system-level optimizations, animation improvements, and multiple bug fixes, with special attention given to the stacked recent apps layout, which has been gradually refined in recent test builds.
According to the rollout details, the HyperOS 3.1 System Launcher third beta is currently available for the Xiaomi 14 series, Xiaomi 15 series, Xiaomi 17 series, K80 series, K90 series, and REDMI Turbo 4 Pro in China. Xiaomi is distributing this build in a limited beta phase, and it can also be manually installed on some selected Xiaomi and REDMI devices already running the latest HyperOS 3 version.

Since this launcher is still in beta testing, users may encounter minor issues, particularly related to animations and UI transitions. Xiaomi has acknowledged this and continues to push frequent refinements through beta updates. The third beta update comes with System Launcher version 6.01.05.1949, and the package size is 26.7MB, making it a relatively small but optimization-focused release.
With this update, Xiaomi has improved the smoothness of horizontally sliding stacked cards, which is one of the key visual elements of the new recent apps interface. Several issues related to stacked cards have also been fixed, including truncated displays, overlapping cards when opening small app windows, and abnormal jitter that occasionally occurred while long-pressing cards. Additionally, Xiaomi has resolved display inconsistencies seen in classic navigation key mode and during split-screen usage.
The update also addresses functional problems affecting locked apps and fixed application shortcut keys in certain scenarios. Dark mode has received further refinement as well, with optimized button color adaptation to ensure better visual consistency across the interface. Xiaomi has also corrected abnormal behavior that occurred while clearing stacked cards, improving overall stability during multitasking operations.
HyperOS 3 continues to build on Xiaomi’s unified ecosystem strategy, focusing on smoother performance, refined animations, and deeper system integration. Core highlights include improved memory management, enhanced multitasking behavior, optimized power efficiency, and more consistent UI transitions across system apps. Xiaomi has also focused on better dark mode rendering, adaptive layouts, and improved stability for large-screen and split-screen usage, all of which directly benefit system components like the launcher.
At present, the HyperOS 3.1 System Launcher third beta remains limited to China and select devices. Xiaomi is expected to expand compatibility gradually based on user feedback and internal testing results. Users installing this beta version should keep in mind that occasional bugs may still appear until the launcher reaches a stable release channel.
