Xiaomi 17T Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max Spotted on EEC Certification, Global Launch Imminent

Previously, the Xiaomi 17T Pro and POCO X8 Pro Max were spotted in the IMEI database, and now both devices have appeared on EEC certification, confirming their upcoming global launch.

IMEI database listings further confirm key model numbers: 2602BPC18G for the POCO X8 Pro Max, 2602EPTC0G for the Xiaomi 17T Pro, and 26020RNB4A for an unknown Redmi smartphone, hinting at another upcoming addition to Xiaomi’s portfolio.

Recent Device Listings (IMEI Database):

  • 2602BPC18G: POCO X8 Pro Max
  • 2602EPTC0G: Xiaomi 17T Pro
  • 26020RNB4A: Unknown Redmi phone

These certifications and listings not only confirm the imminent global launch of these devices but also hint at Xiaomi and POCO’s broader strategy to expand their flagship and premium segment offerings.

The most notable aspect of this leak is the name change—for the first time, POCO is using the “Pro Max” suffix, signaling a shift in naming strategy and emphasizing its flagship killer positioning. This aligns with Xiaomi and Redmi’s past devices, such as the Xiaomi 17 Pro Max, Redmi K90 Pro Max, and Redmi Note 9 Pro Max, all of which adopted the “Pro Max” branding since 2020. With the X8 Pro Max, POCO aims to showcase its biggest and strongest device in the segment.

Xiaomi 17T Pro Expected Specifications

The Xiaomi 17T Pro is expected to feature a MediaTek Dimensity 9500+ processor and a massive battery ranging between 7,000mAh and 8,000mAh, promising long-lasting performance for power users. Internally, the 17T series is codenamed ‘Chagall’ and ‘Warhol’, though it’s not yet clear which name corresponds to the 17T and which to the 17T Pro.
