Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G Gets New HyperOS 2.0 Update in China!

Xiaomi has started rolling out a new HyperOS 2.0 update for Redmi Note 14 Pro+ 5G users in China. While the Indian and global versions of the phone haven’t received the update yet, the Chinese variant is now getting its second HyperOS 2.0 update based on Android 15.
This update is small in size, just 140 MB, and comes with the firmware version 2.0.6.0.VOPCNXM. It’s an incremental update over the earlier HyperOS 2.0.4.0.VOPCNXM version released a few weeks ago. Despite being small, it brings important fixes, improvements, and the January 2025 Android security patch, making the device safer and more stable.

Here’s what this update does:
- System Security Update: The January 2025 security patch has been added, which means your phone is now better protected against viruses, malware, and other security issues.
- Bug Fixes: It solves problems like:
- Battery draining too fast.
- Heating issues when using the phone for a long time.
- Animations not working smoothly.
- The home screen being slow to respond.
- Crashes in some games, like “Peace Elite.”
- Improved Stability: The phone feels smoother and more reliable to use after the update. Apps load faster, and there are fewer glitches.
If you’re a beta tester in China, you can already download this update through the Updater app. For others, the public rollout will start in the next 7–10 days.
This update might seem small, but it fixes many annoying issues and makes your phone work better. If you have the Chinese variant of the Redmi Note 14 Pro+, make sure to keep an eye on the Updater app to get this new update as soon as it’s available. It’s always good to have the latest version for the best experience!
