Xiaomi has officially acknowledged a Bluetooth audio issue affecting the Redmi Note 14 Pro 4G following the rollout of its HyperOS 3 update. Users running firmware version OS3.0.3.0.WOFMIXM have reported that Bluetooth audio cuts out automatically when the phone’s screen turns off.
According to Xiaomi’s latest internal bug status, the issue has been identified and is currently under investigation, confirming that the problem is software-related and not caused by hardware failure or faulty Bluetooth accessories.
Several affected users have reported that Bluetooth audio works normally while the screen is active, but once the display turns off—either due to inactivity or manual locking—the audio stream stops or disconnects. This issue has been observed across different Bluetooth devices, including wireless earphones, headphones, and car audio systems.
The problem appears to be linked to aggressive background process management or power-saving behavior introduced with HyperOS 3. Since the update includes major changes to battery optimization, background app control, and system scheduling, Bluetooth audio services may be incorrectly suspended when the screen is off.
The affected build, OS3.0.3.0.WOFMIXM, is one of the early HyperOS 3 releases for the Redmi Note 14 Pro. As seen with other devices running early HyperOS 3 builds, system-level bugs related to connectivity, audio routing, and background tasks are still being ironed out.
Xiaomi has not yet shared an ETA for the fix, but the “under investigation” status suggests that engineers are actively analyzing the issue. Based on previous HyperOS 3 fixes, the solution is likely to arrive via:
- A small OTA hotfix, or
- The next HyperOS 3 maintenance update for the Redmi Note 14 Pro
Until the fix is released, affected users may try the following temporary measures:
- Disable aggressive battery optimization for Bluetooth and music apps
- Lock the music app in the recent apps menu
- Turn off background restrictions for Bluetooth services
- Avoid using extreme power-saving modes
This Bluetooth issue joins a growing list of early HyperOS 3 bugs reported across Redmi and POCO devices, including gaming crashes, audio problems, display flickering, and call issues. Xiaomi has been actively publishing weekly bug reports and rolling out fixes, indicating that overall stability will improve over time.
While the Bluetooth audio cut-off problem is inconvenient—especially for users who rely on wireless audio during calls, workouts, or driving—the positive sign is that Xiaomi has formally acknowledged the issue and confirmed that a fix is in progress.
Redmi Note 14 Pro users are advised to keep checking the system updater, as the corrective update may arrive soon.
