Xiaomi has officially acknowledged a call audio issue affecting the POCO F8 Pro running the latest HyperOS 3 update. Users on firmware version OS3.0.5.0.WPKEUXM have reported problems during voice calls, where the other party either hears heavy noise or cannot hear any voice at all.
According to Xiaomi’s latest internal status update, the issue has been identified and is currently under active investigation. This confirms that the problem is software-related and not caused by hardware failure or user error.
Several POCO F8 Pro users have reported that during regular voice calls, audio transmission becomes unreliable. In some cases, the microphone input does not reach the other party, while in other situations, distorted noise replaces the user’s voice. This makes normal calling difficult and affects one of the most basic phone functions.
The affected build, OS3.0.5.0.WPKEUXM, is part of the early HyperOS 3 rollout for the POCO F8 Pro. As with many initial HyperOS 3 releases, Xiaomi is still refining system-level components such as audio routing, modem interaction, and call processing frameworks. Call-related bugs are often tied to these deeper system layers, which require careful debugging before a fix can be released.
Xiaomi has not yet shared an exact timeline for when the fix will be pushed, but the “under active investigation” status suggests that a corrective update is already being prepared. Based on previous HyperOS 3 issue resolutions, the fix is likely to arrive either through a small OTA patch or as part of the next full HyperOS 3 update for the POCO F8 Pro.
For now, affected users are advised to:
- Avoid relying on voice calls for critical communication if the issue is severe
- Use alternative calling apps temporarily if possible
- Avoid installing unofficial builds or modifications
- Keep checking the system updater for new firmware releases
This is not the first time HyperOS 3 has faced early-stage issues on POCO devices. Recent reports have shown similar instability on models like the POCO F7 and POCO X7 Pro, indicating that Xiaomi is still stabilizing the new OS across different hardware platforms.
While the call noise issue is frustrating, the positive sign is that Xiaomi has publicly acknowledged the problem instead of ignoring it. Once the fix is released, call quality on the POCO F8 Pro should return to normal, along with improved overall stability.
Users are encouraged to remain patient as Xiaomi continues refining HyperOS 3 and addressing reported issues through upcoming updates.
