Xiaomi has finally fixed the major device restart issue on the POCO F7 that many users faced after installing the first HyperOS 3 update. The earlier build, OS3.0.3.0.WOLMIXM, caused the phone to restart automatically whenever users connected to mobile data or Wi-Fi. Along with this, there were reports of the keyboard appearing automatically in random situations and overall system instability.
The company has now confirmed that the issue is resolved in the new version OS3.0.4.0.WOLMIXM, which is currently being rolled out as a fix. This new firmware is the recommended version for all POCO F7 users because it addresses not only the restart bug but also several problems introduced in the earlier HyperOS 3 release. With this update, Xiaomi has improved system stability, optimized memory allocation, enhanced animations, and refined overall performance.
It is important to note that OS3.0.4.0.WOLMIXM has not been released publicly yet. The update is in a limited rollout stage, meaning only selected users will see it in their system updater for now. If the update appears on your device, you can safely download and install it. If it does not show up, you will need to wait until Xiaomi expands the rollout to all users. Currently, the update is available only for the Global variant, and other regions will receive the new patch later once Xiaomi completes testing.
This new firmware also marks the second OTA update for the HyperOS 3 version on the POCO F7, showing how quickly Xiaomi responded to user reports. The company’s fast action highlights its focus on improving the stability of HyperOS 3, especially on newly updated devices. Users who install OS3.0.4.0 can expect a smoother interface, fewer system glitches, more consistent network performance, and an overall better experience compared to the previous build.
With the restart issue now fixed and more improvements included, the POCO F7 finally moves closer to a stable and reliable HyperOS 3 experience. Users are advised to update as soon as the new version becomes available on their device.
